I'll just say it.  The July MyGlam bag is FABULOUS!  By far the best bag I have received from them so far (including the one I didn't receive that went missing!).

 In terms of value, the Buxom Lip Gloss alone is $18 - whereas the whole MyGlam bag only costs $10 (including shipping).  So it's excellent value for month this month.

 It was an excellent mix of interesting products, with a pretty yellow (and I really don't like the color yellow) nail polish which is a color that I would never normally buy except for an occasion like Halloween.  I bought a NuMe hair straightener a few months ago using my $100 MyGlam coupon, but I didn't know that they made hair products like conditioner.  So this is why I love beauty sample programs.  Sometimes they really do force you out of your comfort zone and allow you to try products you have never heard of or wouldn't normally buy.

 For me, out of three of the beauty sample programs I subscribe to - GlossyBox USA, Birchbox and MyGlam (July editions) - the July MyGlam was by far the best and most exciting to receive.

 ***UPDATE: I tried out the Somersault Circus nail polish by Andrea's Choice and it is awful!  It's one of the worst nail polish formulas I've ever tried.  It smells strong, it's streaky and it takes a long time to dry.  Not recommended.

 I was pleasantly surprised to see a $25 Gift Card in the March 2012 MyGlam bag!  I love the Dermstore and I shop there often for Paul & Joe Cosmetics products.


The rest of the bag was nice - the Pur-Lisse Daily Lip Nourisher was especially welcome - a nourishing treatment for lips.  It's probably best to use this after you have performed your nightly skin care routine. 


Was this bag worth $10 to me?  Yes - based solely on the $25 Gift Card (with a minimum purchase of $50) for the Dermstore!

I ordered MyGlam so that I would receive it in January.  

A few weeks later, I noticed that I had two shipping confirmations in my InBox! About a week later, I still hadn't received anything from MyGlam so I sent their customer service department an email about it.

They told me to wait until the 25th of January, and if I hadn't received it by then, they would refund my $10 - which is exactly what happened.  Although their customer service department was friendly and helpful, I would have preferred to just have a MyGlam box.  Needless to say, it wasn't the most auspicious introduction to MyGlam!

February rolled in, Valentine's Day passed and the very next day my MyGlam package arrived.

My first thoughts were favorable - the makeup bag was cute, I liked the chocolate, and the masks and eye cream samples. However, the X-Out Shine Control and NYX Roll On Shimmer are just not products that I am interested in.  I still think this box was worth the $10, though.

After I uploaded my video several ladies commented and told me to take a closer look at the "$100 gift card" that was inside.  I hadn't even glanced at the inserts, and I was surprised to find a $100 gift card for NuMe!  I was familiar with their products, and when I started looking around on their website I realized that this would be the perfect opportunity to buy either a new hair straightener or hair dryer.  Mine are overdue for a replacement.

I decided to use the gift card and I purchased the NuMe Wet & Dry Professional Styling Iron for only $45 (excluding shipping).  Considering that I was ready to purchase a new flat iron anyway, the "gift card" worked out very well for me and therefore I am very happy with my February MyGlam bag!
