When I travel, I usually always take a swingpack with me.  During my vacation to Canada, my Coach Madison swingpack was invaluable.  

I found myself getting splashed with water on a boat (the Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls), traipsing around Par de la Chute-Montmorency, and braving the concrete jungles of Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City - and using this on days when I needed something a little more compact and effortless and easy to carry than my purse.

Worn as a crossbody bag, the long straps drape over the body well, allowing for comfort, and for most of the time I forgot that I was even wearing a swingpack!  It's a great crossbody bag, that just happens to be the right size to suit all of my needs.  I can even fit a water bottle in here - and that's a big deal for me!  

This is the same swingpack I took with me to Egypt - so it's been around.  But because of the great quality, it's in really good condition, with just a minor scuff or two on the leather Coach label.  The fabric is treated, so if you do happen to splash some water on it (shudder!), it can be wiped away easily, with no watermark left behind.

What's in my Beach Bag?

Coach Poppy Graffiti Tote.

At the end of last summer I decided not to hold out any longer... I finally purchased this Coach Poppy Graffiti Tote.  I had my eye on it for some time, with the intention of using it for the beach and for when I go on cruises.

Today, I was able to use it - it was the perfect day for the beach - so off we went, Coach tote in tow...

And it worked out perfectly!  I don't like to carry my whole life to the beach with me, but there are a few essentials that I need and they did fit perfectly into this tote.

Review: Coach Gallery Leather East West Tote and Accessories

Coach Gallery East West Leather Tote in Pewter.

I haven't bought a Coach purse in about 10 months, but when I saw this new Gallery East West tote, I was instantly smitten and I decided to buy it!  

The Coach Gallery Tote designs are a Coach staple, and they alter the basic structured design by changing out hardware, handles and fabrics on each new edition.

This particular version appears to be inspired, in part by Gucci's Sukey Tote bag.  That is evident by the two pleats under the handles.  The Gallery Tote is a structured bag, and it can rest upright without falling over.

Coach has high quality hardware.

The metallic suede is absolutely stunning on this purse.

I personally love metallic finishes, so all of the sparkle instantly attracted me.  

The purse itself is roomy enough to easily carry around an iPad, magazines, large water bottles, makeup and a long wallet with ease.

Coach East West Tote Interior is lilac.

The great thing about this particular tote are the number of pockets.  Two small and one large pocket on the outside, a regular pocket, a cell phone pocket, and a zippered pocket all on the inside!  You can be highly organized and find everything you put in there with ease.

It's always exciting to see brand new Coach accessories still packaged!

Coach Passport Cover and Business Card Holder in Shell.

The interior of the Coach Passport cover is lilac fabric.

I bought the passport cover out of sheer necessity.  I travel quite a lot, and my passport is starting to look a little weathered.  This is the perfect passport cover for me!  I wanted it in a lighter color, so that I can easily locate it in my purse when I disembark and have to go through customs.  I always wanted a leather passport cover, because leather will last far longer than fabric.

The Coach Business Card holder is in metallic pebbled leather.

I already have too many loyalty cards, and the number is growing.  I also carry business cards around with me, and that is why I chose to purchase a card case.  

It will serve another purpose as well - this case will hold cash, my ID and debit cards with ease - and fit easily into a small purse, clutch or swingpack/crossbody bag.

The Coach Business Card holder is very functional.

This is an elegant and well made card holder.

The key chain is for my Mom.  I chose this particular one because we both love the ocean, and because of something funny that happened on the beach when I was a little girl - it's one of my Mom's most mortifying moments, and a funny, sweet memory for both of us.  So this is a gift for her for Mother's Day.

Tis the Season... not to be Shopping?

To say that I am a little behind on my Christmas shopping this year is an understatement!  So yesterday we decided to head out to Woodbury Common Premium Outlets in Central Valley, New York.

We realized our mistake as soon as we arrived! Even though the photos look pretty, it was a frigid and blustery 31°F!!  There were even flurries!  This meant that waiting in line for 30 minutes outside the Coach Factory Outlet was pure torture!

Even as early as 10:45 A.M., the line outside Coach was long!

To make your shopping experience even more enticing, Coach was offering an additional 30% off coupon on already discounted prices inside the store!

Needless to say, the store was a complete wreck!  So many people had been in there that some of the leather on the bags and wallets had been scratched!  People were grabbing items then discarding them around the store.

The wallets were tossed into a heap and not neatly stacked as they usually are!

This was crazy!  I didn't see as many people in any other store there!

It was so crazy here that we left.

After wrestling through the crowds for about 20 minutes, we decided to give up.  I couldn't really find anything I liked.  A lot of the latest arrivals at the Coach outlets are made-for-outlet bags and honestly, they don't look good at all.  I would have bought a wallet as a gift, but the only one I found that I liked was scratched.

In fact, the only exciting find was the Julia Small Leather Bag in purple that Britney Spears has been carrying around for months, on sale for around $98.

In the end, I was not going to stand in line for another 30 minutes waiting to pay for a scratched wallet, so we decided to make a hasty exit.

Our next stop, was Longchamp.  And what a pleasure - what a difference!  The store was busy and bustling but not nearly as chaotic as Coach.

I spotted some gorgeous overnight bags for around $1,000 each, although that is way over my budget!  Maybe one day, sigh...

They had a cute selection of Longchamp makeup bags and coin purses, but I didn't find these in the colors I like.

The Longchamp Pliage bags are so popular that even the outlet store was selling them at full price!

 I fell in love with this little lovely, on sale for $225!  But once again, it was not budget friendly.

Next stop Balenciaga!  Balenciaga is my Holy Grail designer of bags!  I am completely obsessed!  Regretfully, even I have to admit that this store is rather underwhelming.  It is immaculate (the polar opposite of the hot mess that Coach is), but it is very uninspiring, as is their scant purse selection.

Unfortunately, the staff in this store are less than friendly (maybe because I wasn't carrying one of my Balenciaga's this day?), and they followed me around, hovering annoyingly at every turn, so I was only able to snap one little photo when someone came into the store and started to ask a few questions.  Although, they did have two of their infamous motorcycle bags there with Giant Silver Hardware.  One was a 2008 Vert Gazon & Pink Floral SGH City for around $970.

I wasn't able to snap any photos at the Prada store, but they have recently revamped it and there was a decent selection there.  It's much better than it used to be.


After more looking around, we decided to head out to one of the malls instead, because the selection at Woodbury Common seemed very limited this year.  In the end, we only ended up purchasing some baking tins from William Sonoma, at 40% off at Woodbury Common.  I don't think I've ever been to these outlets and bought so little!


I did buy a few little things at the Mall, but more about that in my next post.

What's in My Purse/Purse Organization

What's in my purse? Coach Chainlink Maggie.

This is my Coach Chainlink Maggie, with Coach Lurex Mini-Skinny, Makeup Bag and Wristlet, my Coach Wallet, Chainlink Mini-Skinny, and Louis Vuitton Amarante Makeup Bag.

I like to keep things organized in my Coach Purse.

I love this hairbrush! It's from the Body Shop, and I don't care how big it is, I have to have it with me at all times!

I always have at least 2 makeup bags with me.

I always carry a little emergency kit with me with bandages (plaster), headache pills, alcohol wipes, etc.  I usually have one makeup bag with everyday makeup, and the larger Coach Lurex bag has tools inside - like nail clippers, nail buffers, nail files, etc.

In case you didn't believe it, it actually does all fit in this Coach handbag!

You can really fit a lot of items inside this Coach bag!

If you have ever watched any of my purse videos on YoutTube (you can check out my YouTube Channel here: The Sassi Wench), you'll know that I love to have a very organized handbag!  Admittedly, I am only human and it's not always as immaculately organized as it is here, but considering the fact that I generally change my bag weekly, or several times a week, I am generally clear out loose change and receipts, lipstick tubes or the like, frequently.  

If I get too busy at work or with any of my other projects, I might even use the same bag for almost (shudder) two weeks (!!) and then I can assure you it isn't as neat as this.  

Also, in addition to a standard size bag, I do carry a tote bag with me almost every work day, to store large and heavier items, like my makeup bags, books, magazines, water bottles, and lunch.  This way when I leave the office at lunch time I don't have to carry all of those heavy items with me.  I just take my keys, wallet, mini-skinny (or 2 or 3), iPhone and some touch-up makeup.

I know that I am a complete hoarder, but for some reason I feel as if I don't carry all my essentials around I'll need them suddenly for some kind of emergency, then that would be a complete disaster! Lol!

Reveal: My First Coach Ring!

I've never owned a Coach ring before, so this is a first for me.  Because of the rounded edges, it's actually a very comfortable ring to wear.  


It's surrounded by pink, purple and clear crystals.  So, so pretty!

Some of the crystals are uneven, but otherwise, it's a very pretty ring, and a great price for $78 at www.coach.com!
