❧❦ Eco-Emi Box December 2011 ❦

Eco Emi Box December 2011
I was thrilled with my December Eco-Emi Box, although it appears that there were supposed to be candy canes in here and they are missing.
Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Botanical Lip Gloss in Winterberry
This month's box included a good selection of household products and body products.
Wyk candle - Whispering Pine
Hip Apotheca provided the John Masters Organics samples
Maggie's Functional Organics Cotton Socks
Green Shield Organic Free & Clear Laundry Detergent

Genesis Today Vitamin C with Zinc Super Chews
Artisana Raw Chocolate Coconut Butter
Zambeezi Organic Beeswax Lip Balm
The only problem I have with this box is that we got lip balm YET AGAIN!  They really need to stop including lip balms. Otherwise, it was a great box for winter - socks, vitamin C chews, a candle...

The December 2011 Eco Emi Box includes:

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Botanical Lip Gloss in Winterberry
Wyk candle - Whispering Pine
Hip Apotheca provided the John Masters Organics samples
Maggie's Functional Organics Cotton Socks
Artisana Raw Chocolate Coconut Butter
Green Shield Organic Fee & Clear Laundry Detergent
Genesis Today Vitamin C with Zinc Super Chews
Zambeezi Organic Beeswax Lip Balm

The Eco-Emi box is $15 per month.

Eco Emi Box November 2011 - Head to Toe Beauty Samples

November 2011 Eco-Emi Box
The 2011 November Eco-Emi Box arrived and as I opened it up I noticed something different - no fabric pouches to house the products.  Instead, the items were wrapped in green tissue paper tied with red ribbon, and placed into a plastic (Cough, cough.  How is that eco-friendly?) makeup bag.

On the accompanying product card Eco Emi states that this is the first of two holiday boxes!  Very nice.
Hugo Naturals Vanilla & Sweet Orange
The Huge Natural Essential Mist in Vanilla & Sweet Orange is yummy - to me it smells like an orange cupcake!  It's actually a multi-use product - body spray, hair mist, linen spray.  Lovely.

Keeki - Lip Shimmer in Ooh La La
A little diversion from the usual inclusion of lip balms is appreciated - this month they included a tinted "lip shimmer".  It's very nice and leaves a subtle sheen on the lips.

Sweet Riot Dark Riot
I have tried something from Sweet Riot from a Birchbox, but this particular chocolate bar was yummy!  It's 70% dark chocolate with cacao nibs and raisins and I ate the whole thing the day I got it!  It's 45 calories per block and there are 4 blocks per bar.

Blissoma Refine Clay Renewal Treatment
Earth's Beauty - Sunlight Eyeshadow
The eyeshadow is beautiful - a peachy gold color perfect for the holidays!

Organic Excellence Wild Mint Shampoo and Conditioner
Planet Botanicals Shea Butter Hand Cream in Cape Lavender
Deep Steep Foot Cream in Candy Mint
Keeki Pure and Simple - Ooh La La organic Lip Shimmer
Earth's Beauty - Sunlight Eye Shadow
Deep Steep & Royal Labs Inc. - Candy Mint Foot Cream
Blissoma - Refine face mask
Sweet Riot - Dark Chocolate
Organic Excellence - Wild Mint Shampoo and Conditioner
Hugo - Vanilla & Sweet Orange Essential Mist
Planet Botanicals - Shea Butter Cream
Soul Flower - Button

The Eco-Emi box is $15 per month.

October 2011 Eco Emi Box

October 2011 Eco Emi Box
Eco Emi October 2011 - Simply Organic Mulling Spice
Eco Emi October 2011 - Gin-Gins Boost Ginger Candies
Eco Emi October 2011 - Big Dipper Wax Works Sweet Orange Candle
Eco Emi October 2011 - Herbaria Almond Spice Natural Soap
Eco Emi October 2011 - Neuma Hair Set
Eco Emi October 2011 - Zhena's Gypsy Tea Peach Blossom
Eco Emi October 2011- Rise Blueberry Coconut Energy Bar
Eco Emi October 2011 - Organic Vegan Lip Balm by Crazy Rumors in Peppermint Lemongrass
Eco Emi Ocober 2011 Gift Bag
The October 2011 Eco-Emi box was okay, but nothing particularly interesting.  The thing that really annoyed me was that there is yet ANOTHER lip balm in here!  Lip balms are nice and all, but I'm drowning in them - they are in Eco Emi every single month and it's getting to be a bit too much!  I have been giving them away and now I'll have to use this one as a stocking stuffer for someone, because I simply don't need any more lip balm!  No one can use a lip balm up in 1 month, even if you use it each and every day.

Eco Emi Box September - Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques

Eco Emi September 2011
I usually do a video with an accompanying blog post about each Eco Emi box, Birchbox, or TestTube that I receive.  In August I uploaded my Eco Emi video on YouTube but the video was flickering badly and I had to take it down.  Then in September on the day my Eco Emi box arrived I had a dental emergency and so I never got around to filming the video.  I decided to post the September 2011 Eco Emi box anyway, because it's a good reference for me for future blog posts/videos.  And I enjoyed taking photos of this month's box because the colors are so pretty!

Eco Emi August 2011 - Pangea Organics

My Eco-Emi box arrived a bit squashed this month, but thankfully nothing inside was destroyed.

These little cotton pouches come in handy - they can be used to store jewelry, makeup, feminine products or cash, or you can use them as a gift bag for small gifts.
Eco Emi August 2011
Eco-Emi loves giving us lip balms!  This is the THIRD month in a row that Eco-Emi has included lip balms in their box.  And at this point, I am lip-balmed out.  I gave this one away to a friend of mine today.  I can't possibly use up the other two EE lip balms, plus the other Pangea Organics lip balm that I received in my Birchbox a few months ago, PLUS 4 others that I own, including two Eos balms, a Body Shop balm and a Fresh balm. Enter, lip balm fatigue...
Pangea Organics Lip Balm Italian Red Mandarin with Rose
I am joining a new gym in September, so I know that this vegan protein powder is going to come in handy when I start lifting weights again.  It is important to consume enough protein when exercising.

Auromere Rejuvenating Hand & Body Lotion
Eco-Emi featured Dr. Hauschka body washes last month.  Although I did try them out, I felt that the amount of product wasn't enough for me to be able to make a determination if the body washes were any good or not.

This time around, the samples are larger, so I think I will be able to get a better idea of what exactly the Dr. Hauschka products are all about.
Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream
Dr. Hauschka Rejuvenating Mask
Included were some Organic Chai/Tea samples, including an interesting Green Tea with Spices.
Organic Hojicha Chai
I don't care for Ranch flavored dips or salad dressings, but almost everyone I know does!  I was going to keep this seasoning mix for an end of summer barbecue, but within minutes of me walking away from the table where I had filmed my video, my cat jumped up onto the table, nosed out this packet and started do bite into it and drool all over it as if it was catnip!  Alas! I had to throw out the dip mix and no one got to appreciate it. R.I.P. Ranch Dip.
Simply Organic Ranch Dip
A friend of mine is really into Acai, so I gave him these vitamin chews.
Acai Vitamin Super Chews
Another body wash sample, this time from Gabriel Organics.  I really think that these small samples of body wash are completely ineffective and a waste of time.
Gabriel Organics Seaweed Revitalizing Bath & Shower Gel
So this completes my Eco-Emi box for August.  I enjoyed the products, but not as much as I enjoyed the July EE box.  I enjoy getting at least one cosmetic sample along with some skin care, a household product or two, and a food sample.  But this month, no cosmetics and no household product.

If you are interested, visit the Eco-Emi website.  You can sign up for the EE Box for $15 including shipping.  Their website also allows you to purchase full size versions of the samples.
